Abstract:Objective To investigate the distribution of Pomacea canaliculata (P. canaliculata) and the infectious status of Angiostrongylus cantonensis in the parks of Fuzhou City for the disease control and prevention. Methods From Apr. to Oct. 2021, a certain numbers of P. canaliculata were collected in the parks, including Gulou,Taijiang, Cangshan and Jin'an District. The Ⅲ larvaes of Angiostrongylus cantonensis were detected by tissue homogenate method, and the infection rate and infection degree were calculated. The data were analyzed by SPSS 21.0 package. Results Totally 29 parks were investigated and discovery rate of P. canaliculata was 65.5% (19/29). P.canaliculata was found in 19 parks and the detection rate was 78.9% (15/19). Totally 539 snails were examined and the infection rate was 15.8%(85/539). The average infection degree was 42.1 per snail. The infection rate of Ⅲ larvae of this parasite in different parks ranged from 2.7% to 76.9% and the highest infection rate was 76.9% (10/13) in liuhuaxi park. There was no significant difference for discovery rate of P. canaliculata and the infection rate of this parasite in the parks of four Districts(χ2 =2.43,5.20,both P>0.05). The bigger snails (≥25 g), the higher the infection rates (χ2=88.76,P<0.01). Conclusion The discovery rate of P. canaliculata was higher in parks of Fuzhou. The infection rate of Angiostrongylus cantonensis and infection degree were higher and there exst infection risk for the people. It is necessary to strengthen science popularization education of Angiostrongylus cantonensis, enhance the public health awareness, change the unhealthy hygienic habits and lifestyle, and avoid eating raw or semiraw snail meat for the disease control and prevention.
