Abstract:Abstract:Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) in Dehua County for the disease control and prevention. Methods The epidemiological situation and report quality of HFMD cases during 2013-2018 in Dehua County were analyzed by using geographic information system (ArcGIS) methods. Results The 1 300 cases of HFMD in 2013-2018 were reported in Dehua County and one severe case,no death case, with incidence rate 72.45/105.Since 2015,the epidemiological situation of HFMD in Dehua County showed increasing tendency. The cases was mainly distributed in May,Jun and July. The higher incidence rate of one year old both boys and girls were 2 108.35/105 and 1 469.19/105,respectively. The cases were mainly in three towns, Longxun, Xunzhong and Sanban, accounting for 67.6%(879/1 300). Xunzhong and Longxun town were local hot-points and the high-high clustered areas. The type of Cox A16 showed increasing trend (F=62.26, P=0.016). Reporting interval days decreased in 2013-2018 (F=5.13,P=0.024), and the complete rates of effective identity document showed increasing trend (F=23.36,P=0.008). Conclusions Since 2015, the epidemiological situation of HFMD in Dehua County showed increasing trend. The disease control and prevention measures should be formulated according to high-incidence months, populations, townships and the virus types. And the audit timeliness of report card review should be further improved.
